Like a great many others I came to Christian Science for physical healing after all material remedies had failed, and have received so many benefits that I want to give this testimony and thereby, in a measure, express my great thankfulness to God for Christian Science.

This teaching first came to me about seven years ago, when several copies of the Sentinel were given to me by a very dear relative in Miami, Florida; but I did not become really interested until about four years ago, after three physicians had said there was no chance for me to live. I was suffering from ptomaine poisoning. I then consented to try Christian Science, for I thought that if it did me no good, it could do me no harm. After the first treatment my condition improved; on the third day after commencing treatments, I was up and around out of doors, and did some light work about the home. The next day we had some company, and one of the visitors asked me what doctor I was having. I said I was through with doctors and medicine, and that I was having Christian Science treatment. They laughed and said they hoped it would do me some good but—and then said no more. That somewhat upset me; and the next day I was back in bed again. The practitioner showed me the truth; and from that time on I have eaten anything I have wished for; and have had no fear of any kind as to what I eat or drink.

Up to the time of coming into Christian Science, I had for years had bowel difficulty. I discontinued all medicine, and am happy to say that I have since relied altogether upon Truth for all help; and never has it failed me. For this and many other healings I am most grateful. I am thankful to God for His loving care; to Mrs. Eddy for showing us how to realize and know God as the only power; and to the practitioner who has so patiently and lovingly helped me through so many seeming trials.
