Kindly be informed, and allow me to inform your readers, that the headlines of a dispatch from Boston in your issue of December 22 were partly incorrect and misleading. The report itself was incomplete. I refer to the report of a memorandum filed in the United States District Court in a suit brought by an advertiser in The Christian Science Journal against the Boards which are responsible for this periodical. The headlines were as follows: "Christian Science Journal Loses Suit. Court Decrees Publishers Cannot Refuse Advertising on Personal Grounds." The first of these headlines is entirely wrong; the second would convey a misleading impression as to the issues which were involved in the suit. The memorandum filed by the judge shows that all of the essential issues were ruled in favor of the defendants, and that the only important point on which the court ruled for the plaintiff was one which is not at all decisive of the suit.
