After I began the study of Christian Science, a great fear came upon me that perhaps it was not of God; but as I was earnestly seeking, I prayed that I might be shown the way, for I felt that if it was not of God I wanted nothing to do with it. As I had always gone to the Bible for help in time of trouble, I could say with the Psalmist, "Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day." And I feel that my prayer has been answered from the many proofs we have had of God's power and love.

While taking treatment for an organic trouble, I was healed of nervous sick headache, with which I had been troubled since childhood. Since then I have had many physical healings, for which I am very grateful; but I am more grateful for the purifying process of Truth uncovering the hidden error in my thoughts which I did not recognize as sin, and for the understanding that God is Love. Words fail me when I try to tell what Christian Science has done for me and mine.

For the loving help of a Christian Science practitioner at the passing on of our dear little grandson; for the realization that "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble;" for the glorious glimpse of what Life is; and for having the spiritual facts of being unfolded, I am more grateful than I can tell. I am thankful to God and grateful to Mrs. Eddy, whose spiritualized vision enabled her to give this truth to the world. I am deeply grateful for the benefits I have received through class instruction; for the privilege of serving in the Cause of Christian Science; also for the authorized literature and for the Lesson-Sermons. My daily prayer is for more wisdom and love, that I may see man only as God's creation—perfect as He is perfect.
