In the eleventh chapter of Hebrews there is outlined in a remarkable manner the effect of faith in the lives of Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, and others. There are no limits to the possibilities of men endowed with this faith. Equipped thus, it would be possible to avoid the necessity of teeth extraction altogether, and to restore them to a healthy state. The faith of the average person in the goodness and power and presence of God is very limited. When Christian Science comes into the life of an individual, his faith in God, in good, is immediately strengthened; and the results of this increase of faith, through spiritual understanding, are made manifest in all his affairs, in his health, his happiness, and his success. Is not the world's trouble mainly due to temporizing, procrastinating—putting off till tomorrow what should be done today? Especially is this true with regard to reliance on God. Reliance on Spirit and matter at the same time is a divided trust, and will never truly bless mankind. In the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," on page 167, Mrs. Eddy writes: "The scientific government of the body must be attained through the divine Mind. It is impossible to gain control over the body in any other way.  On this fundamental point, timid conservatism is absolutely inadmissible. Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized."
