I first heard of Christian Science five years ago
I first heard of Christian Science five years ago. At that time I was in great trouble: I had lost my husband, and had three young children, with no means to support them. Then a very bad condition of the knee developed, and I could not get about. The knee was much swollen and most painful. I had the doctor one Sunday morning, and he told me I should not use my leg for several weeks, as I had "housemaid's knee." When I said that was quite impossible, he told me I should have to go to the hospital then and have the knee cut to let the fluid out. I really did not know what to do. A lady I knew came to see me on Monday morning and friend with her. I told them about it. The friend said to me, "I wish you understood Christian Science; I feel sure it would help you." In the afternoon of the same day she sent a Christian Science practitioner to me who very lovingly explained what Christian Science is, and said she would help me. By the next day my knee was quite healed. I was very grateful.
I cannot find words to express my gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me and for my little ones. I have had several healings since. I think I feel most thankful for the sense of peace that Christian Science brings.
