Christian Science has completely cured me of a disease...
Christian Science has completely cured me of a disease which was pronounced practically incurable by a number of physicians. While in France with the American Expeditionary Forces I seemingly acquired a very severe case of chronic bronchitis. This was in the early part of 1919. After I was discharged from the service, my trouble increased, until it seemed almost impossible for me to go on. I coughed constantly, and found it most difficult to breathe. Altogether, I was a wreck—both mentally and physically. I sought the services of the best physicians in town, was examined and reexamined, X-rayed and re-X-rayed, without results. At last I was told that time was my only cure!
It was at this point that Christian Science came into my life. At first it was point that Christian Science came into my life. At first it was almost impossible for me to comprehend its teachings. I read the Lesson-Sermons and seemingly got nothing from them. I continued in this stage for over a year. Finally I was taken with an acute attack, which forced me to my bed. I immediately asked for help from a Christian Science practitioner. In one month I was healed not merely helped for the time being, but completely cured for all time, I know. Since my healing I have felt better than ever before. Besides this and at the same time, I was healed of the tobacco habit, which had an extremely strong hold on me.
After these two marvelous demonstrations, is it any wonder that I am grateful? And truly I am very thankful for Christian Science, for it has brought to me health and true happiness.—Egbert N. Fairchild, Minneapolis, Minn.
