"Fear not!"

"This was the first angelic word
The startled Shepherds heard—
'Fear not!' Belovèd, it comes to you,
A celestial message sweet and true,
As true for you as it was for them
In the lonely fields of Bethlehem;
As sweet to-day as it was that night
When the glory dazzled their mortal sight."

So sang a well-known poet of the angel message which was heard on that Christmas eve so long ago; thus did she emphasize one keynote of the angels' refrain!
