More than twelve years ago I underwent a serious operation because of internal difficulties. After this operation there remained a continual heaviness in the abdomen, followed by umbilical hernia, weakness of the bladder, and chronic constipation. I was suffering constantly, and did not expect ever to find healing.

While I felt so ill, I heard of Christian Science and attended the Wednesday evening testimony meetings and Sunday services. The first thing that I grasped was God's love and willingness to help us. I then asked a practitioner for Christian Science treatment, and was perfectly healed in eight or ten treatments. I do not feel heaviness any more; the weakness of the bladder has disappeared; and chronic constipation has also been healed.

I am deeply grateful for this benefit that has revealed God's power to me; but I am much more grateful for the spiritual blessings, and that through the understanding I have already gained I can prove the truth for myself. One day there were appearances of severe grippe and also of fever. I realized that God is Love, that He is omnipresent, and that since God's child is governed by Him alone he therefore cannot suffer. The second day I was entirely healed.
