That Thou hast shown to me Thy power,
So wondrous here!

I thank Thee, too, for knowledge gained
Above the senses, wrongly trained
To doubt and fear;

For sunshine and for joy of heart.
Through love for Thee, I know Thou art
Love always near.

I thank Thee, Thou hast shown to me
The path to heaven and to Thee,
That maketh free!
