The mere statement that thinking about health, wealth, or motor cars will add these to one's possessions, shows a complete ignorance of Christian Science teaching. Nothing that can be found in Mrs. Eddy's writings will even approach such a statement. In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 261) Mrs. Eddy says, "Hold thought steadfastly to the enduring, the good, and the true, and you will bring these into your experience proportionably to their occupancy of your thoughts." All of Mrs. Eddy's teachings regarding health and other equally desirable possessions are in fullest accord with what is taught in the Scriptures; and the quotation given here from Mrs. Eddy's writings is after all just a restatement of Jesus' own words when he said, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

In America and in many other countries thousands of children have learned so well in Christian Science that God is Love, that they have no fear of shadows or of mythical monsters. In proportion as this number of children and grown-ups increases, in that ratio will a measure of international understanding, of justice, forbearance, and peace be realized. In this connection Mrs. Eddy truly says in Science and Health (p. 467), "It should be thoroughly understood that all men have one Mind, one God and Father, one Life, Truth, and Love. Mankind will become perfect in proportion as this fact becomes apparent, war will cease and the true brotherhood of man will be established."
