Christian Science is the opposite of autosuggestion, being based upon spiritual understanding. Christian Science enlightens thought. When one is governed by divine Mind, right results are obtained; but when controlled by belief, conditions are liable to become confused. One who understands mathematics can get results, but one who just believes he can manipulate figures, frequently goes wrong. Humanity has numerous beliefs, many of which have no foundation at all. Because of their beliefs, persons often get worried. Here is where Christian Science comes in with understanding, dispels these beliefs, and the truth which Jesus said "shall make you free" is manifested. According to Christian Science, it is necessary to "follow" Christ Jesus, for he is the Wayshower. The Master's understanding enabled him to extend the loving invitation, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
