It has been twenty years since I bought my first copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy; and every year of that time has but added to my blessings through the study and understanding of Christian Science, and to my love and gratitude to our Leader for her wonderful gift to humanity. I first turned to Christian Science for help when my mother passed on, as my sense of grief and separation seemed unbearable. I can truly say Christian Science does heal sorrow as well as sickness and sin.

My three children have been healed of mumps, chicken pox, whooping cough, sore throat, and earache; and my older girl was healed of a swollen gland. All these healings were accomplished through absent treatment.

Four years ago my husband passed on; and although I had experienced so much of God's love and care, I was plunged into the depths of sorrow. One night, about a month afterward, I seemed to be so overcome by sensetestimony that I fell on my knees and cried out to God at least to leave me Christian Science. I felt I must hear God speak through a human voice. Just then I heard a knock at the door, and when I opened the door a man stood there whom I knew but slightly. He said, "There is a boat in port, and a friend of mine, a practitioner from the north, on board." I could not answer the man; only these words rang in my ear: "Before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear." I spen a wonderful hour with the practitioner, and came away praising God. I have had many trials and problems since then, but never again has my faith wavered.
