Letters from the Field

"Several months ago I was taken to the sanatorium of The Christian Science Benevolent Association, to human sense in a critical and helpless condition. My need was urgent; and so prompt were the Trustees and loving friends in responding to this need that I was able to enter the sanatorium soon after the application was made. At the end of ten days I was able to attend the Sunday services there; and in five weeks returned to my home. The healing was very beautiful and very quick. Mrs. Eddy says in Science and Health (p. 412): 'The power of Christian Science and divine Love is omnipotent. It is indeed adequate to unclasp the hold and to destroy disease, sin, and death.' It was indeed divine Love that made it possible for me to enter the sanatorium; and it was the reflection of divine Love that was manifested by every one there with whom I came in contact. I am indeed grateful for the loving care and kindness received, and for the foresight and wisdom of our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, which made the establishing of the sanatorium a possibility.

"I wish to express my appreciation of the privilege of being a guest at the Christian Science sanatorium some months ago. I can truly say that while there I made a daily demonstration over some phase of error. I am thankful for all the love that was reflected toward me, and especially for merited rebuke. I entered the home with the thought uppermost of being healed physically; but I am happy to say that through its beneficent influence. I discovered my real need; and am thankful, not only for the physical healings experienced, but also for the better understanding of Truth gained.
