Christian Science is based on divine Principle and works according to unerring law. It therefore is scientific. Its results are the same as accomplished by Christ Jesus; therefore it is Christian. That a patient is not healed at once by it does not prove the law of Principle untrue, any more than a failure to solve a certain problem in mathematics proves the basic law underlying mathematics to be untrue.

An article written by a Rhode Island clergyman, which appeared in the Westerly Sun, contains the following statement: "In the Baptist church I learned to trust God and believe that He is an ever present help in time of trouble. Christian Science has shown me how and why God is an ever present help in trouble, and has therefore increased and strengthened my faith and trust in God. ... Christian Science has shown me how Jesus did his mighty works, and how we may follow in his footsteps and verify his promise, 'He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also.'"
