It is just a little over a year since I came to Christian Science. Although I have been cured of very severe headaches, I did not come for physical healing. It was sadness that brought me. I had gone through a great sorrow, and could not find comfort anywhere. All brightness had gone out of my life, I thought then forever. I wondered how I had grieved God so that He sent me such sorrow, for I was taught at my church it had come from Him. I had heard of Christian Science, so I thought I would go to the meeting one Wednesday night. When I got into the hall, I felt such a calmness come over me; and in a short time, with the help of a kind friend, I saw things were all wrong with me. Christian Science made the Bible so much plainer, turning my sorrow into peace.

But I am most grateful for the spiritual teaching which shows me how to love and forgive, and my daily effort is to put into practice what I am learning. Words cannot express the difference it has made in my life; it has brought that beautiful feeling of security, for God is All-in-all. I am very grateful for Christian Science, and for all the help so lovingly and patiently given me.
