Among the Churches

Current Notes

Vero, Florida (Society).—The Christian Scientists of Vero began holding services in December, 1919. They organized a society in June, 1920, and became a branch of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. Their growth has been a continued one; and several months ago they began preparations to build a church edifice, which will be a credit to Vero. They had presented to them two lots. This was a gift from the Indian River Farms Company. The building has a solid, concrete foundation, and the auditorium will be thrity-six by forty-five feet, with a seating capacity—when the Sunday school room, which can be opened into the auditorium, is included—of about three hundred. The structure will be finished in stucco with a beautiful color scheme typically Floridian; and with the completion of the grounds it will present a very attractive appearance.—Vero Press.
