A resolution asking the Government to take immediate...

Rocky Mountain News

A resolution asking the Government to take immediate and drastic steps to curb the reported wholesale massacres of Christians in Asia Minor was read and adopted in five Christian Science churches in Denver. Copies of the resolution were sent to Secretary of State Hughes and all senators and representatives from Colorado. The measure calls for the protection of the Christians in the troubled areas, and assures the Government the whole-hearted support of the Christian Science church. The letter to Secretary Hughes follows:

"The members of the five Christian Science churches in Denver, assembled in their various places of worship, urgently request you to take such action as lies within your power to protect the lives of the Christian people in Asia Minor from massacre. Indications are that unless prompt action is taken by our government, wholesale massacres unparalleled in modern history will take place. We are sure that action taken by our Government to prevent this will receive the endorsement of all Christian peoples, and we assure you of our unqualified support to this end."
