The perusal of the new book, "Christian Science War Time Activities," recently issued by The Christian Science Publishing Society, reminds me of how much I had to be grateful for during the recent war, for which I have never adequately expressed my thanks through the pages of the Christian Science periodicals.
When I came to Christian Science I had just returned from a clinic after an operation, as I had suffered for seven years with a difficulty which physicians designated as tubercular, and which had been growing much worse as time went on.
My first healing in Christian Science was instantaneous, and was brought about by reading the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.
Christian Science has caused so much joy, happiness, and peace to enter into my life that I hardly know where or how to begin to express my gratitude, not alone for this great truth, but to all those who have so lovingly helped me over the hard and rough places.
I wish to acknowledge my sincere appreciation for a most wonderful demonstration, in Christian Science, over pneumonia and hemorrhages, following a relapse of influenza.
