To adequately express my thanks for what Christian Science...
To adequately express my thanks for what Christian Science has done for me and mine would necessitate the writing of a long manuscript so many have been the benefits received. When I was a young chap seventeen years old, I was crushed between an elevator and the floor. I was rushed to an emergency hospital where an examination disclosed a broken neck. Physicians at the hospital refused to touch me, stating that I would be dead within a few minutes. As soon as I was injured my mother was telephoned to, and she in turn telephoned to a practitioner who immediately started to work for me, so that by the time I reached the hospital I was receiving Christian Science treatment. The broken bones were set and I was put to bed. In six weeks' time I was completely healed, discharged from the hospital and was back at work shortly afterward.
Since that time Christian Science has been my only physician. Our three children have all received manifold blessings and we are extremely grateful for the truth as taught in Christian Science. Burns, fevers, influenza, and other claims have all been met. I am very grateful to be serving as First Reader in our little community gathering, although no church has as yet been organized. We meet each Sunday and have the Lesson-Sermon, carrying on the services as directed in our Church Manual. Thankful indeed am I for the knowledge that God is an ever ready source of supply and that all I have to do to avail myself of God's bounty is to apply the truth.
My desire is to know more of God and His truth.
