I wish to express my deepest gratitude for a knowledge of the teachings of Christian Science. For more than eight years I have been a sincere student of this teaching, and during this time have received countless blessings. I wish to relate how, through the practical application of the truth, wonderful results were attained. When first learning of this truth, my relatives and I were in constant need and worry, so that, regarded from a material standpoint, I was at the end of my strength, thoroughly discouraged, and longed for death. In my seeming desperation God led me to the Christian Science Wednesday evening meetings, which I attended regularly. I also read Der Herold with great zeal. A practitioner explained to me the fundamentals of this teaching and gave me treatment. After the services I always returned home comforted, and exerted myself to learn more of this truth, with God's help. In proportion to my growing understanding our household affairs improved. Financial worries, as well as fear and grief left us, inasmuch as I was beginning to realize the meaning of the words, "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."

It would take too long to relate the countless blessings received. My gratitude is being expressed by constantly gaining more knowledge of the truth, in enriching my understanding through the realization of God's presence, constantly knowing that God guides me. Next to God I thank our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for the restoration of the practical teachings of Christ Jesus.
