I wish to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done, is doing, and will do for all who apply this truth to every need. I came into Christian Science for physical healing, not knowing that it is the stream of living waters. I had been sick and almost helpless for eight months. The doctors said that an operation was the only hope for me. I told them there would be no operation, that I would just die as I was. The next day I suffered untold agony from an abscess in the rectum, and other complications, I was asked, why not try Christian Science? I knew nothing of Christian Science, but that it healed. I talked with a Scientist. She said, "Come to my apartment in the morning." I replied that I was not able to walk. But to my surprise I was, as it were, lifted up and put into the stream of Life, Truth, and Love, and was healed.

I came back and cast out all the medicine I had been bowing down to, and worked in accord with the First Commandment, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." Everything was beautiful to me. The sun coming into my room seemed to tell of the sunlight of Truth whereby I could see to cleanse my thoughts of all error. I am indeed very grateful for this beautiful truth,—to know God, here and now,—and to Mrs. Eddy for being so true and faithful to the teaching of Christ Jesus and that she could pave the way for all through "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."—(Mrs.) Carrie Perkins, Cleveland, Ohio.
