The proof that Principle, Love, is the only power—is God, have been coming into my daily experience for thirty years. I first learned this truth through the treatment given me for what I believed to be valvular heart trouble, never having had proper heart action from birth. Doctors had stated that I had seven chronic diseases, each one "incurable." Thoroughly discouraged, believing my family would be freed of a burden if I were not with them, I longed to die, thinking that would end it all, or hoping so. I had no definite idea about the future and knew very little of the teaching of the Bible on the subject; I did not understand it and did not believe any one else knew anything of the future life, if there was such an experience. Within three weeks I was completely healed of all, and Science and Health and the Bible were becoming open books to me. So filled with wonder and grandeur and so convincing in every statement were they that my life rapidly grew into one of happiness, health, and success. The physical healing was completely overshadowed by the spiritual awakening, and only those who have known like experiences can appreciate what it means to be lifted out of such darkness.

It must necessarily follow that my gratitude is unlimited to Mrs. Eddy, the one who made this possible by herself following in the footsteps of the great Teacher, Christ Jesus, following so closely that by her example mankind is enabled to prove that to him that overcometh, will the kingdom of heaven be revealed.
