A critic asserts that Christian Science teaches that God is good. We gladly acknowledge that Christian Science does so teach and prove. Not only does Christian Science teach this, but it further teaches that God's creation is like Himself, good, as stated in the record of creation where the Bible says, "God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good." It is patent to any one that sin, sickness, and disease are not the creation of God. They are the opposite of Life, Truth, and Love. It was the mission of our Master, Christ Jesus, to do the will of God, to bear witness to the truth. He said concerning his work, "I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me." His life work was largely devoted to the destruction of sin, sickness, and death, showing conclusively that these were not the creation of God, but that they had their origin in the human mind, which Paul said was "enmity against God."

The evangelist makes an old threadbare assertion "that Christian Science is neither science nor Christian." The Christian Science movement with its churches in all parts of the civilized world, established through its uplifting, healing ministry, is the proof of its Christianity, and the demonstration of its Science.
