"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see...

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven," we read in Matthew's gospel. I feel that one way in which I can obey this command is to send in my written testimony, knowing that it will help to light the way for others to glorify Truth by demonstration. As our Leader says on page 490 of Science and Health, "The scientifically Christian explanations of the nature and origin of man destroy all material sense with immortal testimony." Jesus made a perfect demonstration over error when in the wilderness, and on several other occasions when he was alone with God, and since I have been living for the past two years where there are no other Scientists near and no services to attend, being alone with God I have had occasion many times to demonstrate, as I could not call a practitioner when there seemed to be a need.

When our second son came, an almost painless birth took place and I was up the next day and within a very short time was doing all of my own work. A sense of pain and fever was manifested when our oldest little boy was cutting his teeth but it was met inside of fifteen minutes. At one time when a sense of sickness continued to manifest itself in our little son it seemed as if I would have to telegraph a practitioner for help, but I listened for the still, small voice of Truth, and the words of this hymn came to me (Hymnal, p. 180):—
