Men have been accustomed to say that faith is a condition which makes possible the operation of the power of God—that only where there is faith can God's power enter in and accomplish His work. Would it not be truer to say that faith is a power of the soul which itself, in its exercise through prayer, accomplishes the objective of the prayer? In other words, prayer is the exercise of a spiritual power which is able to accomplish the will of God for men. And, therefore, he who neglects prayer is neglecting to use one of the greatest forces at his command for the fulfillment of the will of God.
