It is with a heart full of gratitude that I wish to tell some of the many blessings that Christian Science has brought to me. When I first heard of its wonderful benefits from a dear Christian Scientist, I was obstinate in not accepting them as real; but when this lady told me I could get "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and read it, and by doing so become well, it dawned upon me that it was out of the ordinary for the reading of a book to cure anyone. Its name also appealed to me wonderfully. I got the book and began reading, and various ailments to which I had been subject for years left me, including catarrh, stomach trouble, and headaches. Having been a member of an orthodox church for about sixteen years, I felt that Christian Science was so good I could take it into my church, not knowing the result of such a fruitless effort. When it became clear that one or the other had to be given up, I thought I would give up Christian Science, but in time was brought back by many severe lessons. Since then I have enjoyed the heritage of man, God-given dominion. I have been healed of goiter, an abnormal growth, colds, bowel trouble, a discontented mind, and have learned to love my neighbor as myself. My little boy has been healed of stomach disorder, partial paralysis of the bowels, and sleeplessness at night. My little girl has been healed of croup, cholera infantum, and colds. Measles were overcome in less than an hour. My husband also has derived many benefits from Christian Science.
For these and many other blessings I am most grateful to God, also to our dear Leader, who has so patiently shown us the way, and to all who have helped me. I wish to express my gratefulness for our literature, which has been such a help to me, and for membership in The Mother Church.- Mrs. S. L. Webb, Seymour, Texas.
