I should like to express my gratitude to God, and to our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for the many blessings that have come to me through the study of Christian Science, and more especially from the church services, which I began to attend in August, 1914. My father was a priest of the Church of England, and from my earliest childhood I had been instructed in all the beliefs of that faith, and therefore knew something of the "letter" of the Bible. From the first I was much impressed by the reading at the Sunday services of the Christian Science church of the correlative passage of Scripture from the first epistle of John, and especially by the verse, "And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure." I did not commence the study of the Lesson-Sermons till March, 1915, so that when I went into the church for the Sacrament Sunday of January, 1915, I was not aware that the service was to be different in any way. It would be quite impossible to put into words what the effects of that service were upon me, except to say that I knew I had been in the presence of God. I was completely healed of immorality, and the blessings and power that have come to me from that experience are too wonderful to relate.

I am grateful for the daily good that is unfolded to all who strive to obey the will of God, even as a little child. I am grateful also for the healing of the smoking habit and of many faults of character. Christian Science makes life worth while in every way. I trust that this testimony of the regenerating power of Christian Science may be of some help to others.—
