Christian Science has taught me that the true and only God does not send sin and sickness. This has been such a blessing to me, for it is so different from the way I had thought of Him. The first time I attended a Wednesday evening testimony meeting and heard so many express their love and gratitude to God and to Mrs. Eddy, I thought how beautiful it would be if it were really true that there was such a practical religion, and the thought came to me that if I were sick again I would try it, little thinking how much I needed its teachings even then. It was only a few weeks after this that I was taken suddenly ill. The first thought that came to my husband and myself was to get the doctor, and not until he spoke very discouragingly to my husband and said an operation was necessary did we decide to try Christian Science. In two absent treatments I was healed.

I am grateful not only for this one healing but for many others. The Christian Science literature means much to me, also the Sunday school that my children have the privilege of attending. I am grateful for church membership and that Christian Science has given me some understanding of the Bible and a love for the study of it. I am most thankful to God for our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who through her unselfishness has given us this beautiful teaching, and that so many are awakening to the fact of what this healing truth means to the world.
