I have long desired to express my gratitude through our periodicals for the peace, contentment, health, and happiness which I have experienced since taking up the earnest study of Christian Science some five years ago. Whenever we have applied the truth to inharmony of any kind the result has been always the same,—complete relief, accompanied by the peace "which passeth all understanding." In a family with three children there are many occasions when it is necessary to know what real obedience is, and we often turn to that wonderful article on this subject in "Miscellaneous Writings," where Mrs. Eddy says (p. 117), "Obedience is the offspring of Love; and Love is the Principle of unity, the basis of all right thinking and acting; it fulfils the law."
I am most grateful for the privilege of teaching in the Sunday school, and of having my children attend. I have great cause for rejoicing in that they may have these truths taught them from childhood and will not be confused with erroneous teachings. We have had many healings; a severe burn, eye trouble, blood poisoning, chronic biliousness, and sick headaches have been overcome. I am most grateful, however, for the knowledge of the ever presence of divine Love and intelligence, always ready to solve our problems when we put self out of the way and turn absolutely to God. I am thankful to God, the giver of all good, and grateful to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who gave all her efforts to the discovery and dissemination of Christian Science, the Christ-teaching. I am also grateful for our periodicals.
