Christian Science is coming to mean to me an ever available...

Christian Science is coming to mean to me an ever available remedy and counselor, but I have been slow to grasp even a part of its possibilities, as owing to former training it was not natural for me to turn to God in any trial. When staying in the mountains with my children and my husband about a year and a half ago I was attacked with all the symptoms of grippe. Since taking up the study of Christian Science I had depended almost entirely upon a practitioner for help in time of need, but on this occasion, not wishing my family to know of my condition, I decided to do my own mental work. After about twenty-four hours the symptoms all left me like the lifting of a fog and I was so surprised and grateful that I then told my family.

Since that time I have had many proofs of the ever available and ever operating power of Truth, which have caused me to realize more and more the importance of guarding my thoughts. Among numerous causes of gratitude I find myself rejoicing most often in the realization that I have this beautiful, usable religion to give to my children.—
