Among the Churches
Current Notes
Madison, Wis.—Second Church of Christ, Scientist, is planning the erection of a new home, which will be the first Christian Science church to be built in Madison. A deal for the old Hiram Johnson property on Langdon Street, near Frances, has been closed, according to real estate dealers. The church is now holding meetings in the Knights of Pythias Hall.—

Charlotte, N. C.—First Church of Christ, Scientist, has purchased a house and lot at West Trade and Cedar Streets for twelve thousand dollars; the brick building occupying the lot will be converted into a temporary church for the use of Christian Scientists in this city. The Christian Scientists have been conducting services for the last five years in Baird's Hall, at Poplar and Seventh Streets. They moved into this hall from a smaller one in the first block of West Fifth Street. The new and larger quarters will be occupied as soon as remodeling is completed. The members of the church plan to build an edifice on the new lot at some future date.—
