The truth as taught in Christian Science first dawned on...
The truth as taught in Christian Science first dawned on my consciousness some six years ago, at a time when it was most needed. I had been attending an orthodox Sunday school but had become dissatisfied there, as I had not gained a religion that satisfied my longing for the true God. Immediately after taking up the study of Christian Science I realized that I had at last found God, and this realization brought with it many healings. I was freed from sick headaches and acute stomach trouble, both of which had caused me much suffering. I soon entered the Christian Science Sunday school and began to put into practice the healing truth taught there. I can never express my gratitude for what this teaching has meant and now means to me as a college student. I have proved in my studies that "God is Mind, and God is infinite; hence all is Mind" (Science and Health, p. 492). My membership in the Christian Science Society here has meant everything to me. I have had the privilege of serving on the distribution committee and have noted, with rejoicing, the changing attitude of the campus toward Christian Science.
I am sincerely grateful for all that Christian Science has done for me and mine,—grateful to God, the tender Father-Mother of all, and to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, also grateful to Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science. My daily prayer is that I may become worthy to be called a Christian Scientist by living a life of consecration and love for all mankind.
