With heartfelt gratitude and thanksgiving I give my testimony to the great help that Christian Science has been to me in the overcoming of sickness and sorrow and various erroneous conditions. In the past seventeen years it has been our only physician, and has helped us to overcome fear and pain when dental work has been done. I had suffered from ill health since infancy, and for many years after the birth of my first child there was a discordant condition that none of the many physicians we consulted could correctly diagnose, each one advising some different medical treatment in England or abroad, till I was weary of all the so-called "cures" and gave up the struggle to find help through material remedies.

When a friend told us of Christian Science, I was disinclined to try any "new remedy" or to "change my religion." I little knew that the truth taught in Christian Science was that which I had been seeking for many years,—an uplifting, demonstrable, living faith. To please my husband I consented to see a practitioner, with the result that after a few treatments, and much study of the Bible and our text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I knew I had found the truth, and with joy drew "water out of the wells of salvation," a salvation free to all here and now and always. The textbook flooded with light the Scriptures, "which are able to make thee wise unto salvation," and made clear "some things hard to be understood," unfolding them as ever helpful guidance in the problems of daily life. I was so overjoyed in finding the truth that I forgot all about the physical discord. Later on fear crept in and I again suffered; but the light of Truth soon dispelled the darkness of error and I was healed. Very frequent bad headaches have also been overcome, and we have been protected in accidents.

I am deeply grateful to Mrs. Eddy, who rediscovered this healing truth, also for the illuminating and helpful Christian Science literature. Above all I am thankful to God, who crowneth us "with lovingkindness and tender mercies."—(Mrs.) Grace M. Shaw, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
