I wish to express my gratitude for the teaching of Christian Science. It has been a great help to me in business, because I am able to realize that God governs. I have a small workroom and have been able to demonstrate perfect harmony among the girls employed.

About three years ago I had a beautiful healing. I had only been asleep a very short time, when I awakened with a severe pain under my shoulders. It was the most intense pain I have ever experienced, and I lay as still as possible, though I felt that I wanted to scream. The Golden Text in the Lesson-Sermon of the previous week had been those beautiful words in Isaiah: "When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him." So I lay quiet and tried to know that as surely as the enemy was trying to come in like a flood, so surely the Spirit of the Lord would lift up the standard, if I put my trust in Him. I lay awake all the rest of the night holding on to the promise, and by the morning I felt much easier and was able to dress slowly and attend to my business as usual. By the evening I was perfectly well.
