Having been interested in Christian Science for seven years, I wish to give my testimony as to its healing power. Christian Science was presented to me in 1910, although I did not get interested in it until 1912. I did not take up the study primarily for physical help, but soon saw my need of both physical and moral healing. I was freed from a chronic bowel trouble, also the smoking habit of many years' standing; and the appetite for strong drink was overcome just by reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. During the summer of 1912 I received a severe cut on my face, penetrating to the bone.

A practitioner was called at once and in a few days the healing was effected without leaving a scar. Another time when gas almost overcame me, and some of my fellow workmen were obliged to quit work on account of the fumes, I again called for help through Christian Science and was all right in a few days. Last fall, while I was working in a mine, a large rock fell against my right foot, but the pain was overcome at once by declaring the truth, and I finished my day's work, though the swelling seemed to remain. Some trouble was experienced in removing my boot, but during the night the healing came and I went about my work the next day as usual.

I have had many proofs of God's protection, and words are inadequate to express my gratitude for all the benefits that I have received through this healing truth. My desire is to attain more understanding, that I may be of some benefit to my fellow men. The Christian Science periodicals are my daily companions.—L. L. Knudtson, Telluride, Colo.
