While I have known of Christian Science and something of its Founder for many years in a vague way, I had always looked upon it with much skepticism. About four years ago, however, I experienced a complete change of opinion. My wife had been under a physician's care for a long time, and we were advised that she must undergo and operation at once; but on the recommendation of a friend she decided to try Christian Science and was healed. This healing to me seemed miraculous but even then I was not willing to admit the healing power of Christian Science.

I had been under medical treatment for a long time, owing to a rundown condition, and was suffering from so-called nervous indigestion. I got no permanent relief, so finally decided to give Christian Science a trial, and after two months' treatment I was completely healed. Since that time the tobacco habit, to which I had been in bondage for fourteen years, has dropped away. The almost constant use of profanity has been left behind, while a bad temper, conceit, prejudice, and many other shortcomings are being overcome as I gain in understanding of divine Love.

My heart is full of gratitude to that good woman, Mrs. Eddy, who so lived that she was able to rediscover this new old truth that is giving health and happiness to ever increasing numbers.—Walter W. Morse, Portland, Maine.
