For eight years I have depended upon Christian Science to help me out of trouble of all sorts, and it has never failed. Some of the healings have been instantaneous. For years I suffered from many physical maladies and almost constant mental torment. Neuralgia, nervous prostration, and heart trouble were daily companions, as were fear of debt, grief for those who had passed on, and heartache because of the habits of some who were living. The heart disease seemed to be the most serious affliction, for it returned frequently, accompanied by distressing symptoms.

My case was observed closely by my husband, who was a regular physician, and was acquainted with the most intelligent physicians in this country. The teachings of materia medica did not include this type of heart disease. Doctors could not understand the cause of my suffering, and did not afford me any permanent relief. After years of endurance I resorted to other systems of healing, without receiving benefit. At length I seemed of have exhausted every source of help, and when a severe attack prostrated me I gave up the fight for life. To satisfy some members of the family I consented to go to a Christian Science practitioner, although I took no interest whatever in doing so. That visit was "the parting of the ways." I became interested in the study of Christian Science and was healed of discouragement, fear, and pain. The thought of death left me during my first visit. This spiritual healing caused me to awake to the existence of God. I realized divine Love's ever presence and was satisfied.

I have experienced many healings, which prove to me the words of Mrs. Eddy on page 162 of Science and Health, "Christian Science brings to the body the sunlight of Truth, which invigorates and purifies."
