About two years ago I awoke one morning to find myself unable to see out of one eye. It was badly crossed and I could not raise the eyelid. The muscles and nerves seemed paralyzed, and I was terrified with the thought that I had been stricken blind. I even feared permanent affliction. However, a Christian Science practitioner was quickly called and I soon became composed and settled down to work out my problem. Sometimes discouragement, doubt, and a strong desire for an examination by an eye specialist assailed me, but in due time, and solely through the patient work of this faithful practitioner and the steadfast assurance of several staunch friends, the eyelid began to raise; and then one day as the practitioner was treating me the crossed eye went back into its right position. A few days after that I was completely healed. My eyes to-day are stronger than before this experience, for I can read finer print.

I cannot find words to express the gratitude I feel to God, and also to Mrs. Eddy and the loving friends who through their understanding of Christian Science were enabled, and so well qualified, to help me.
