I have known of Christian Science ever since I was about twelve years of age, but as I thought it was mostly for healing sickness, and I was never sick, little attention was paid to it. The time came, however, when I was to learn that I needed the light of Truth every moment.

In May, 1917, our little son, then three years old, became ill with what seemed to be measles, and grew worse rapidly. My husband, who had no faith in Christian Science, finally consented to try it, and absent treatment was asked for from a practitioner three hundred miles away.

The little boy seemed to grow much worse and finally reached the stage of stupor and ramainded in that condition for nearly two weeks. I could not begin to tell the many ways in which divine Love met our every need in those dark hours. A physician has since diagnosed the case as spinal meningitis. The healing seemed slow, but God's law of Life healed the child perfectly. I am grateful for the loving help received during this experience from my mother, who has been in Science some time.
