It was about eleven years ago that Christian Science was first called to my attention; and about three years later, after I had gone through many hard experiences, travelling about, living off and on the life of a tramp, it was again brought to my notice. At this time I was a mental and physical wreck. Some dear friends with whom I boarded directed me to the Christian Science reading room, where a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy was secured. Shortly after I had begun to read this book all medicines and material appliances were given up, and a little later I found myself perfectly healed of a constant sense of hunger of three years' standing. This healing came just through reading Science and Health. My appetite has been normal for eight years.

I learned that this book was the word of God, and that divine Love had accomplished the healing through my reading of the book. Later, by trusting God, I was healed of a venereal disease in six days. A large cut on the chin, smoking, chewing, drinking, profanity, have also been overcome during the past four years; and many other sins, such as vainglory, anger, hatred, revenge, selfishness, have been overcome in a large degree. Mentally, and physically, and in the overcoming of lack I have been wonderfully blessed. Words cannot say where I would be to-day if Christian Science had not come into my life. It is a preventive and has been my only physician for eight years.

I am very glad to have the privilege of being a member of the branch church of this city and of The Mother Church, and to participate in the church work. This has brought healing and many beautiful experiences to me. It is also a privilege to have all our periodicals; they are so wonderfully helpful.
