It is said of Christian Scientists that they have a reason for the hope that is within, and I have proved this to be true. Nearly four years ago, when almost a wreck physically, Christian Science showed me the way out of suffering. The first demonstration was the healing of my eyes. Knowing nothing of this teaching, except that through it people were made happier and healthier, I went to see a practitioner, who before treating me told me to get the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and read the chapter on Prayer. While reading this I took off my glasses for some reason, and resumed the reading with no thought of them again, and have never needed them since. I had worn them for a year, for six months constantly, and had been told they had been needed for years and would probably have to be worn always. This is just one of the many reasons I have for the hope within, but if I had never experienced another healing, this one proof would have convinced me of the truth of Christian Science.

I am grateful to Mrs. Eddy, who sought and found the understanding of God, which heals the sick and reforms the sinful. She has shown the way, the truth, revealed by Christ Jesus.—(Mrs.) J. H. Hannah, St. Louis, Mo.
