I am glad to be able to tell of a few of the blessings that Christian Science has brought to us. In the winter of 1912 I turned to Christian Science for help, and truly I found that "man's extremity is God's opportunity." I was suffering from an internal trouble and the doctors gave me very little hope of recovery from it, but with the loving help of a practitioner I was healed and am stronger than I ever was before. At times my healing seemed slow, but now I am glad, for it made me study harder. I had much to overcome, for I was so prejudiced against what I thought Christian Science was.

Since then I have seen God's power proved many times, a few of which proofs were the overcoming of lung fever, malaria, cuts, toothache, and a weak heart, from which trouble we nearly lost our baby. I am grateful for the physical healings, but much more for the spiritual uplift and for knowing that we can prove that God is an ever present help. And just in the proportion that we learn to love more and to seek "first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness," are these other blessings added unto us. I am so thankful to God for the truth, and grateful to Mrs. Eddy, our Leader, for showing us how to seek it. My prayer is that I may so live this truth that my light may shine and help others.
