Funds of The Mother Church

"We thank you heartily for the financial help which God has given us through the Christian Science War Relief fund since the war began. We received regularly every month the bountiful contribution of twenty-five francs, which was for us a very great help. Words are inadequate to express our gratitude, and we will endeavor to prove it by deeds and by striving to understand and make practical the teachings of Christian Science. May God bless all who are connected with this great religion of loving one's neighbor as one's self."

"I cheerfully confide to your care the sum of two dollars to help pay a small return for my beautiful book [French Science and Health] which you were so kind to forward to me. I cannot give much, but what I give is with all my heart. This will help to convey Christian Science to some of those who are in ignorance."

"I also have a duty to fulfill in expressing my hearty thanks for the receipt of twenty-five francs, which was at the time such a great relief. The words, 'Before they call, I will answer,' have been fulfilled in this case."
