I gladly acknowledge the many blessings Christian Science has brought into my life. I became interested in this teaching through the instantaneous healing of a friend, and have since been healed of the liquor and tobacco habit, of gambling, and of the use of profanity; also of the habit of hating. I have been healed of neuralgia, headaches, stomach and bowel disorder, kidney trouble, and heart disease. Many nights I have walked the streets, being so full of fear I dared not go to bed.

Words cannot express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done and is doing for me. I want to thank the Publishing Society and the Board of Lectureship for the noble work they are doing. I am also very grateful for the reading rooms, and to all who have helped me in my fight against false beliefs and false appetites. I am indeed thankful to God for having given us that gentle woman, Mrs. Eddy, who was spiritually minded enough to discover what had seemingly been lost to the world—the healing power of Truth.
