Seven years ago I had yet to learn that man's estate is that of joint-heir with Christ, his heritage harmony, light, and life. I did not know that Mind, not matter, governs man; hence error had bound me. For ten years I had suffered from chronic stomach trouble accompanied by a severe bowel disorder and extreme lassitude. After taking food I would become so uncomfortable and suffer such pain that in order to obtain relief it would be necessary to remove the food from the stomach by artificial means. I had changed from one doctor to another, taking their medicines and trying various diets, and finally sought a change of climate, but without relief; instead I gradually grew worse. Through the influence of a friend I was induced to try Christian Science, and although I had very little faith in it, a few weeks later I was eating anything I desired. Since then I have had no trouble with the stomach whatever. The demonstration was so wonderful that I became a student of this teaching at once. What Christian Science has done for me it will do for others.
Truly, as our beloved Leader has said (Science and Health, p. 494), "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need."
Charles H. Rutherford, Jerome, Ariz.
