[Written for the Sentinel]

Now

Now has in time's pretense no part.
Now is the dawn within the heart
Of truer consciousness of Life,
Which quickens love, expelling strife.
Now is a vivifying ray
Reflecting the eternal day.
Now is of God a concept clear,
Revealing Him as ever near.

Now is the golden, glowing thought
Whereby a clearer light is brought;
In which there first is understood
God's tender Father-motherhood.
Now is Christ risen, the perfect heir
To glories which we too may share:
Now we may follow where he trod,
And prove ourselves the sons of God.
