Never having read a testimony in the Sentinel from this...
Never having read a testimony in the Sentinel from this little summer resort in the Rocky Mountains, I wish to send this tribute of joy and appreciation for what Christian Science has done for me and mine. I did not come into Science through any physical healing, but was divinely led to attend the services one Sunday morning, and was so impressed with what I heard that I immediately took up the study, and for five years this truth has been gradually unfolding to me.
It is with a deep sense of gratitude that I tell of what divine Love has done for us. In 1913 my son, while unloading ice from a refrigerator car, caught his arm in the elevator, breaking the bone, dislocating ht arm, and cutting the wrist terribly. The company immediately called a doctor, who brought the boy home. After setting the break and pulling the dislocation into place, then bandaging the cut, he said blood-poisoning was very likely to develop, and also made the remark that the boy would not be able to work again for six months or longer. After the doctor had gone the pain became unbearable and caused the boy to have cramps and sickness in the stomach. I at once asked for help in Christian Science from a practitioner, and inside of fifteen minutes the patient was asleep. From that time on there was no pain, and the boy did not lose a night's rest. The ninth day the doctor pronounced the arm healed. He also stated that it was the most perfect healing he had ever seen, and called in several men to see it, as I had told him we were having Christian Science treatment.
I have been healed in one treatment of appendicitis, also of bowel trouble, headaches, and aching feet. Glasses, which the oculist said would have to be worn all my life, have been laid aside. For all these blessings I feel thankful to God, and am grateful to our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who has prepared the way for us through her teachings, so that all who will may learn of this truth which sets free.
