During the past eight and a half years I have had many proofs of the omnipotence and ever-presence of God, and my desire is to acknowledge the peace and comfort which I have found, mentally and physically. I was considered an unusually delicate child, and fainting spells were an almost daily occurrence. We moved to the West, but I continued to be a tired, sad child, unable to romp and play as other children did, all ills of the flesh seeming to find an abiding place in me. Conditions became no better even with womanhood and changes of climate.
For many years I seemed to hear the words, "There is One above all others who can heal you," and I searched until I found Christian Science. I had always felt the desire for more scientific Christianity, and this teaching dawned upon my consciousness as a bright light, proving to me the all-power and protecting ever-presence of divine Love. So-called hereditary headaches and rheumatism, locomotor ataxia, weaknesses of many years' standing, the third acute attack of appendicitis, and many minor ailments have been proven unreal. I have experienced many instantaneous healings, and am today a healthy, happy woman, having found the truth which Jesus said would make us free.
Words are inadequate to express my gratitude for Christian Science, for our revered Leader and her untiring loving efforts in leaving us our helpful literature, and for our teachers, from one of whom I received class instruction seven years ago. Christian Science has made God's Word my daily bread, and the Bible is a beautiful new book to me,—a remedy at hand for every ill, whether mental or physical. God has been the only physician in our home during these years, giving peace and comfort in all sorrow and distress, and proving the truth of the beautiful words, "I am the Lord that healeth thee."—Minnie S. Berry, Alliance, Neb.
