With gratitude for having been able to realize God's omnipotence in regard to a painless childbirth, I feel I must give my testimony. One morning in April, 1916, I awoke with the "scientific statement of being" (Science and Health, p. 468) in my thoughts. My husband called in a neighbor while he himself went for a Science practitioner. He had a mile and a half to go to town, so I realized God's omnipresence as well as I could in the mean time, and experienced no discordant feeling. In an hour my husband and the practitioner arrived, and very soon the baby was born, a fine big boy. A little later I ate a good breakfast and then got up. I was outdoors on the third day, and the day following ate dinner at a friend's house. Previous to the birth of the child I had no discordant days.

I had studied this glorious truth a year and eight months before this demonstration of the power of Truth. Words are feeble to express my thankfulness to God for sending such a noble, spiritual woman to reveal again the truth, and that beautiful hymn "Make channels for the streams of love" (Hymnal, p. 89) has shown me a way of expressing true gratitude to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, and the divine Principle of all.—Mary B. McLeod, Hillyard, Wash.
