With a heart full of gratitude to God I gladly testify to the benefits received through the study of Christian Science. From infancy I suffered from serious throat trouble and was under the doctor's care continually. At the age of nineteen the crisis came, and medicine failed entirely. Then Christian Science was recommended to me, and a friend called a practitioner, who gave me a treatment. In half an hour I was perfectly healed. Many years have passed and there has been no return of the trouble.
I have also been healed of headaches said to be inherited, of seasickness, and of many internal troubles. Fear in its most violent forms has been overcome, and I am indeed grateful to have found a God who is Love, ever present, omnipresent, and supreme. Some of the discordant conditions have been slow to yield to the touch of Truth, but this has enabled me to learn more of true religion, and of my relationship to God and mankind. For over seventeen years now Christian Science has been our only remedy. In a family of four children it has met quickly all needs. The physical healing has indeed been wonderful, but it is a small part of what Christian Science really means to me.
The peace, contentment, and joy which this blessed truth gives, fills me with thankfulness to God for the truth revealed by our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy. I am grateful to all who have helped me gain a better understanding of God, also for all our periodicals, which are as beacon-lights in times of distress. For all these and many other evidences of God's goodness I am truly grateful.
